A recent US study suggests that replacing sugary drinks with water can helps dieters lose an extra 2-3 kgs in a year. The more water you drink the more you tend to lose.

The study based on the weight loss diets of 240 over weight women from the ages of 25-50. They were placed on a carbohydrate restricted diet along with water replacing main regular exictence of sugarydrinks. It was found that woman who drank more than average water, lost an extra kg.
