Tea kettle gets salts, minerals, nicotine etc settled in it. Dissolve half a cup of VINEGAR in a half cup of water, boil and pour it in the kettle and heat. When water boils, remove from flame, cool and wash the cattle. All sediments will come out in pieces and it will be clean as new.
